In response to the continued growth of their business GovDeals is looking for an Inside Account Manager to provide training and support to clients of their nationwide internet-based government online auction service. The candidate must be willing to travel 10% of the time. They will be assigned an existing client base with the potential of adding many more additional clients.

Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Describe the major tasks/duties, essential responsibilities, accountabilities, working relationships, and key activities associated with this role, (this can be strategic activities vs. tactical)

  • Provide onsite, telephone, email and internet training and support to assigned territory clients
  • Regular follow up to encourage additional utilization by the client
  • Provide onsite and in field services to Clients including cataloging, gathering descriptions, photographing assets, releasing assets to winning bidders on behalf of sellers in various locations both indoor and outdoor in a variety of weather elements
  • Work with the Territory Business Development Managers to secure new clients and to protect existing clients from competitors
  • Attend large, high-profile conferences as required
  • Monitor assigned clients’ auction listings to ensure a high level of quality and sound auction practices
  • Work with the Supervisor, Client Relationships - East to identify all dormant clients and help formulate a strategy to resell these clients on the usage of GovDeals
  • Represent GovDeals to the government and public sector in a positive and professional manner

Qualifications

Job Specifications: Knowledge, skills and/or abilities normally required to perform the job at a proficient level.
 
Education/ Experience:
  • Associates Degree preferred
  • Minimum of 1+ years of hands-on technical account management/customer service experience
 
Skills:
  • Excellent written/verbal communication skills
  • Seeking a self-starter, with a strong work ethic & time management
  • High level of teamwork required to effectively collaborate with various departments (i.e. Marketing, Client Services, Business Development, Sales Support, etc)
  • Candidate must be adaptable (able to work in a variety of settings and weather conditions, i.e. train and present in a boardroom, gather pics/descriptions in a boneyard w/inclement weather)
  • Computer skills to include Word, Excel, Outlook, email and internet usage
  • Must have a valid driver's license and clean driving record
 
Ability: 
  • Candidate must reside in an area with access to high-speed internet service and cellular phone service

Position is remote for those who reside and are legally authorized to work in the Western Region. Candidate must reside in an area with access to high-speed internet service and cellular phone service.

 
Travel:
  • 10% domestic travel

Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs.

In addition to base pay, this role is eligible for other compensation, such as commission.

 

The salary range for this position is $22.50 to $27.00 hourly.  The variable pay includes commission which is based on sales. The posted range reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published range based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
