General Summary

The Quality Assurance Analyst will provide project test planning, test development, test execution, release test planning, and various service activities within the Quality Assurance group.

Responsibilities

  • Implement automated testing using C# /JAVA and/or related technologies
  • Develop and verify automation test cases to build a system to support automation of unit, functional, performance, security, and integration testing
  • Work independently and as a member of delivery team developing and maintaining test automation scripts
  • Build dashboards for viewing test results, metrics, and other relevant testing information for appropriate project stakeholders
  • Ensure that quality processes are carried out through all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Work concurrently on multiple projects, each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project
  • Develop thorough understanding of system design, data model, and functional components of large software systems
  • Actively works with other testers to gain insight and accept or provide guidance where appropriate
  • Perform application analysis, test strategy development, test case creation, test execution, defect tracking and reporting on Enterprise-level applications
  • Ability to write some SQL queries as well as simple HTML and CSS
  • Participate in post-production implementation verification

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is required
  • 3+ years of Automation experience is required
  • Solid understanding of testing techniques for public, customer facing web application including cross-browser and cross-device testing
  • Strong manual back-end testing experience including database, data feeds, scheduled jobs/batch processing
  • Working experience in development life cycle methodologies (e.g. Agile, Waterfall, KanBan).

Skills:

  • Familiarity with writing test cases in Katalon, Junit, OR Selenium
  • Working knowledge of Postman and Postman automation for API testing
  • Ability to construct basic SQL queries for data validation
  • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a virtual environment
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with ability to analyze complex system requirements and define test cases
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools
  • Thorough understanding of the development life cycle, including the various stages of testing
  • Working knowledge of HTML and JavaScript
  • Experience with performance, security, and/or accessibility testing is a plus.

Ability:

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong backend testing experience
