    General Summary

    The Sr. Director, Finance & International Controller is the lead Accounting and Finance resource for the Company’s Capital Assets Group (“CAG”) business unit. This position is responsible for supporting both the Chief Financial Officer and the CAG President in the creation and execution of plans to meet the financial goals of the business unit, including top-line growth, cost management, and proper financial accounting in accordance with US GAAP.  The Sr. Director maintains overall responsibility for the annual budgeting process, quarterly forecasting, ad hoc analyses, and monthly financial reporting of actual results for all entities within the business unit.  The Sr. Director is responsible for ensuring that the business unit’s finance staff around the world maintains an environment of strict financial discipline and internal controls consistent with those of a best-in-class accounting organization supporting a publicly-traded US corporation.


    • Provide executive management, operational leadership, FP&A, and SEC reporting team with accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting
    • Maintain SOX-compliant finance operations in all CAG locations worldwide, including North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific regions
    • Responsible for all international accounting issues, including international operations and transactions outside of the CAG business unit
    • Support business-facing teams such as Sales and Operations in the pursuit of exemplary client/customer service and maximization of revenue generation
    • Optimize the use of multiple technology platforms to create reporting efficiencies and insightful business analytics
    • Partner with CAG leadership and local finance teams to create an annual budget that aligns with the short- and long-term goals of the organization
    • Provide accurate quarterly P&L and cash flow forecasts in support of both external guidance and internal decision-making
    • Review and approve deal terms proposed by Sales team to purchase goods for resale
    • Review and approve all significant third-party expenditures for CAG business unit
    • Ensure financial regulatory compliance in all international jurisdictions in which CAG does business
    • Coordinate with Tax team to structure international business transactions in the most tax-efficient manner for both the Company and its clients
    • Work with Legal team to structure client agreements in most favorable manner
    • Work with IT organization on project to transform the Company’s technology platform
    • Support FP&A team with company-wide financial analyses, as well as presentations to both executive management and the Board of Directors
    • Maintain a system of cash management controls across all CAG legal entities in order to maximize return on assets and minimize foreign exchange exposure
    • Support external auditors in quarterly reviews, annual audits, and regular SOX reviews
    • Provide SEC Reporting team with accurate financial information and business analysis in support of quarterly SEC filings
    • Assist Corporate accounting team with the development and documentation of internal financial policies
    • Manage, guide, and develop Finance teams in multiple international offices
    • Other responsibilities as required


    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    • Provide business guidance to team of 15+ Finance professionals located in 7 countries
    • Perform annual reviews and quarterly development discussions for 2 direct reports
    • Provide management advice to direct reports as needed in support of productive and harmonious work environments
    • Review compensation packages of international staff annually to ensure alignment with local markets

    Maintain availability outside of normal working hours in support of multinational teams


    Education/ Experience:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, preferably with a concentration in Accounting or Finance required
    • 12+ years of experience in Accounting roles, primarily in publicly-traded company and/or Big 4 public accounting firm
    • 8+ years of supervisory experience
    • 4+ years of experience directly managing international accounting operations
    • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, or financial planning
    • Experience with large-scale ERP systems, preferable Oracle
    • CPA highly desired
    • MBA preferred
    Skills and Ability:
    • Ability to use data to determine root causes and advise courses of action
    • Ability to provide clear and concise analysis to executives and Board
    • Intermediate or expert skills with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS PowerPoint
    • Ability to interpret and apply technical accounting guidance
    • Ability to guide multinational teams in remote locations
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting strict deadlines
    • Ability to visualize reporting needs and work with IT personnel to create reports and to automate processes
